It takes the right stuff to venture Earth's atmosphere. That's why NASA selected
Apogee Imaging Systems as it mission critical camera for the HI-C mission to observe
the sun's corona in the highest detail ever captured.
The High Resolution Coronal Imager (Hi-C) was successfully launched on 11 July 2012,
from the White Sands Missile Range. Hi-C is a next-generation suborbital space telescope
designed to capture high-resolution images of the million-degree solar corona.
