Outline
Meade DS-2000 Series mount, tripod and optical tube bracket with Meade's AutoStar (#497) Controller. Computerized altazimuth mount suitable for PST, SolarMax 40mm to 70mm models, or other lightweight optical tubes.

Complete mount package with GOTO, ready for your optical tube of up to approximately five to six pounds. Includes the Meade DS-2000 single arm mount with AutoStar (#497) computerized keypad with over 30,000 object library database and automatic tracking and GOTO. Also includes an adjustable height aluminum tripod for comfortable viewing from either a seated or standing position and right angle optical tube mounting arm. The mounting arm has a slotted hole and optical tube mounting would typically be with a 1/4-20 bolt or similar with the slot allowing the tube to be shifted slightly backward and forward for balancing purposes. This is the mount and tripod as used on the popular Meade DS-2000 series telescopes such as the Meade DS-2080 and DS-2114.

The easy to use mount features advanced electronics to make alignment both quick and simple by a two star alignment technique for nighttime observing. For daytime use the mount can be rapidly "mock aligned" so that tracking on the Sun is available when using an appropriate Coronado Solar Telescope.
