Coronado SolarMax II 60 with RichView Tuning BF5
|
|
Outline
|
Meade announces an incredible breakthrough in solar observing with the
introduction of the revolutionary RichView™ tuning method, built into every
new Coronado SolarMax II. Now you can zero in on the most precise wavelength
of light for each area on either side of the hydrogen-alpha (Hα) band for the
highest contrast views of active regions, flares, filaments and other surface
features - or quickly retune for spectacular images of prominences on the solar
limb. No other commercially available Hα telescope provides the tuning range
and accuracy of the SolarMax II.
The patented RichView™ tuning method works by directly tuning the etalon, the
heart of the Coronado Hα filter system, which gives you greater tuning range
and detail than that found on other solar telescopes.
Solar activity has increased dramatically over the last year. Don't miss out on
what experts say could be the best solar maximum in many years. This very high
quality 60mm personal solar observatory features an 400mm focal length, f/6.6 focal
ratio. Includes mounting rings, Cemax 25mm eyepiece, Sol Ranger solar finder and
carry case. Weight is 2.7kg BF5 version (5mm diameter blocking filter).
The BF5 model is best suited for visual observation.
